Bio:

My name is Victoria Burgess. Im a south Florida girl who is in love with the ocean. I was born in New York and moved to Florida with my parents when I was 5.  Growing up in a small beach town I spent every opportunity that I could in the ocean; boating, diving, fishing, falling in love with surfing, SUP surfing, and more recently at the end of 2013 SUP racing. I have always been actively involved in the local surf community, from the pioneering of Trespass Surf Club, to Surfers for Autism, also on the board of the Broward County Surfrider Chapter, and in South Florid Longboard Association. I love teaching and learning anything about our ocean and its beauty. I have been a career firefighter/paramedic for the last 9 years. When I'm not working or in the water I enjoy traveling, fishing, freediving, snowboarding, soccer, beach volley, art, music, hiking, camping, anything in nature, spending time with my family, friends and dog Mufasa. The ocean-surfing-is my passion. Its where I feel the most at home and at peace.

Since I started SUP racing at the end of 2013 I have had many accomplishments and I hope to continue to learn and advance my knowledge and ability in this amazing sport.
